DIY Wood Wall Art

This project is great for beginners and intermediate woodworkers. The entire process takes about a week, but the end result is worth it! It’s also a great way to recycle old materials you may have lying around your home or garage. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1/2-inch plywood ($10)
  • 4 x 8 foot sheet of plywood ($20)
  • 2 x 4s (4) ($10)
  • 2″ screws or nails ($5)

Wood Pallet Coffee Table

First, you will need to locate a wood pallet. If you need help finding them, check out our guide on how to find free wood pallets.

Once you have your wood pallet, clean it up and remove any nails or screws that are protruding from the surface of the wood. Next, cut the 4×8″ boards into 2×4″ boards using a table saw or circular saw (if you don’t have access to either of these tools then skip ahead).

You’ll need enough 2×4″ boards for 3 rows of 1-foot long pieces; one row should be 5 1/2 inches tall and two should be 6 inches tall making sure there is space between each piece in each row so your coffee table top can sit on top securely without falling off!

Hanging Rope Shelf

If you have a small space to fill, rope shelves are an excellent option. They’re versatile and can be hung almost anywhere in your home. You can even use them as part of a larger display if you like!

You’ll need:

  • A piece of rope
  • A hammer (optional)

Rustic Wood Headboard

First, get a wood pallet and paint the entire thing white. Or, if white doesn’t fit your decor, camouflage it with any other color you want! The point is that you want to cover up all of the writing and stamps on the pallet so they won’t show through when you attach it to your bed frame.

Once your pallet is dry, use a router to cut grooves into each slat. This will help keep them in place once they are attached to your bed frame later on. Now grab yourself some nails and hammer them into each groove along the top edge of each slat—this will secure them in place after attaching them over your headboard railings later on!

Finally finish this project off by staining or painting over any remaining exposed wood parts with stain/paint for extra protection from wear&tear over time…

Wood Slice Clock

The wood slice clock will make a great addition to your home and let you show off your creativity. It’s a simple project that uses basic woodworking skills, but it can be as challenging as you want it to be.

This is how you make the wood slice clock:

Take a small piece of wood or plywood and make marks on it at 12, 3, 6, 9 and 6 o’clock positions. You can use a compass for this or just freehand draw lines in circles around the piece of wood until they reach all four corners of it.

Draw 2 more lines intersecting each other at 90 degrees from each corner mark so they form squares (1 x 1 inches). The size of the square should depend on how thick your board was cut into slices!

Rustic Hanging Succulent Planter

Select a wooden crate to use as the base of your succulent planter.

Buy plastic pots, small enough to fit into the crate, and fill them with soil.

Decide where you want each container to go on the crate so that all the plants can be seen from all sides and are staggered in height.

Measure out a piece of tape long enough to wrap around the crate where you want your first pot to sit (or mark this point with pencil).

Place this piece of tape at an angle across the front side of your crate about 6-8 inches below its top edge. This will help create space for drainage under every pot without having one too close to another plant’s roots as they grow down into their own containers.

Install nails in predrilled holes around each container’s bottom edge so they will stay in place once filled with soil and plants inside them–you may want more than one nail per container depending on how heavy it is!

Wooden Sofa Sleeve Cup Holder

Now that your cup holder is finished and you’ve had it for a while, how do you think it holds up? Is the wood still holding strong or has some of the glue come undone? If so, no worries! You can simply use a little super glue to fix it up.

You might want to give them another coat of paint too if they look kind of dingy after all this time.

Milk Crate Bookshelfs

We’ve already shown you how to make a milk crate book shelf. Now it’s time to put together! Take your crates and lay them on their sides. Drill holes into each crate, making sure they’re evenly spaced out. Then hammer nails through these holes and into the wall in order to secure the crates.

Now that your bookshelf is up and running, use rope or twine to add a rustic touch along with some fun color!

Wooden World Map Wall Decor

First, you’ll need to find a map of the world. If you don’t have one on hand, there are plenty of places where you can find one for free or cheap.

The United Nations offers its maps for personal use, and most large libraries will have them in their reference sections. You can also purchase vintage maps online through sites like Etsy.

Once you’ve selected your map and cleaned it up (if necessary), break it down into its component parts: continents, oceans and countries/states/provinces/etc.

Transfer these pieces onto boards, which will serve as the base for your wood map of the world. Be sure that each piece fits snugly onto its designated board this will ensure they’re all even with each other when hung together on the wall later!

Now drill pilot holes through each board at regular intervals about every 6 inches should do it and nail together any areas that aren’t already connected.

Once all pieces are connected via these pilot holes, sand down any rough edges around them so they’re nice and smooth to look at when everything is assembled together again later on down this process’ line(s).
