- Jump Rings
Wire Cutters – Wire cutters are used to cut wire and other things. They’re basically like scissors but for metal instead of paper, so they’ll make cutting your wire simple.
Chain Nose Pliers – These pliers are perfect for working with smaller pieces of jewelry and manipulating things like jump rings or wires.
You can find them at most craft stores like Michael’s or Walmart. Round Nose Pliers – These are similar to chain nose pliers except their ends are rounded instead of pointed, which makes it easier to grab small objects without hurting yourself!

2. Tassel Necklace
- 1 strand of thin cord
- 2 bobby pins or hair ties
How to make it:
Thread the thin cord through one of the bobby pins, leaving a long tail on each end.
String a bead onto one end of the cord, then feed it back through the second bobby pin (or hair tie) and push up against an earring hole until you reach the desired length for your necklace. Repeat with other colors until you have enough for both sides of your necklace!
3. Beaded Bracelet
Beaded bracelets are another beginner-friendly jewelry project. They’re quick to make and can be made in a variety of colors, lengths, and styles.
You can customize your bead bracelets by choosing beads that go best with your wardrobe you can use any color or style of bead you want! Beads come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. You can even add charms to your bracelet if you like.
These types of necklaces are also one-size-fits-all (which means they won’t fall off) because they aren’t tied on with a clasp they’re just strung together like beads on a string!
As long as you have enough beads for the length of the bracelet (and if not try using more than one strand), it’s pretty easy to make these yourself at home too–plus this means more money saved for more beautiful accessories later down the line!

4. Wire Wrapped Ring
A small amount of copper or copper colored wire, such as 22 gauge half hard round. You can also use brass, bronze or steel wire but you’ll want to make sure it’s not too thick.
Round nose pliers. You will be using these to manipulate the metal and create a loop on one end of the ring blank (or head size) for attaching your main piece later on.
Flat nose pliers for bending down small loops and bends in your wires when needed. These will also come in handy later when working on a more delicate piece where you need to bend something into a curved shape without damaging it too much by twisting it with regular pliers!
5. Choker Necklace
If you’re looking to add a pop of color to your outfit, choker necklaces are an easy way to do it. They’re also super simple to make and look great!
If you’re unfamiliar with the term “choker,” it’s simply a necklace that sits around the base of your throat (where “choke” comes from).
The length of these necklaces can vary from just under two inches up to about four inches, depending on how long your neck is. You’ll often see them worn with dresses or other clothing items that have plunging necklines.
Like most jewelry projects, there are countless ways you can put together a choker necklace. For example:
- You could use beads for every link in your chain;
- Or maybe instead of beads you’d like to go for something more natural like shells or seeds;
- Maybe even some rocks would look cool as pendants on this style too!

8. Chandelier Earrings
- earring hooks or posts (your choice)
- small chain
- chandelier earrings (you can also make your own)
How to Make Them:
Using the jump ring, attach one of the ends of the chain to the top loop on an earring hook or post. Repeat with other end of chain and remaining looped end of same piece. If you’re using a chandelier earring, skip this step entirely and move on to step 2 below!
9. Knotted Stud Earrings
To make these knotted stud earrings, you will need:
Two jump rings (the size of your choice; the ones I used are 18 gauge)
Two earring posts (the size of your choice)
A pair of pliers, aka needle-nosed or round nose pliers. Those are the most common types and all you need for this project.
You can also use regular pliers, but I prefer the precision of needle-nosed or round nose ones. You’ll also need a small piece of scrap fabric in any color that suits you! I used an old shirt for mine because I love cotton fabric’s texture & feel when working with it!
First step is opening one side on each ring using the pliers so they open up like a figure 8 shape now but this isn’t done yet because we still have to add something else before closing them again and making our final product look nice & neat!
Now we’re going to put some glue inside each ring (I didn’t use too much here) before adding some thread through one side only then pulling both ends until there’s just enough room left inside without anything falling out
This step-by-step tutorial will guide you through the process of creating knotted stud earrings using embroidery floss and earring studs. Create unique and stylish earrings by following along with this simple process.
The materials needed include embroidery floss, earring studs, needle and scissors, and a glue gun. Use pliers to help with knotting and shaping if necessary.
10. Leather Pouch Necklace
- Leather pouch (you can get one from a craft store or make your own using recycled leather)
- String, ribbon or chain (if you’re using string or ribbon, you’ll also need a needle and thread)
- Scissors – for cutting the leather.
Steps: 1. Cut a piece of leather about 6″ long by 4″ wide. 2. Fold it in half so that the sides overlap roughly an inch, then stitch them together with sewing pins to keep them in place while you sew it shut at the top and bottom using your needle and thread (if using yarn). 3 Finally sew up all four sides of your pouch with just enough room left open at each side so that when they’re folded out they’ll fit snugly around whatever object(s) you want inside!
